The College is situated on the outskirts of village Fatehgarh Chhanna on the Sangrur Dhuri Road. A turn alongside the Vasant Valley Public School takes you to the campus in five minutes, it is just behind Bahadur Singh Wala Railway Station and barely six kms. from Sangrur city by two motorable roads. It has clean and healthy environment, placed as it is in the lap of nature, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is hundred percent pollution free. The building is newly constructed and has all modern amenities. The six acre campus area has provision for play grounds for various games. The airy spacious class rooms, the well-stocked library with latest editions of books and the well-equipped, laboratories like Science, Psychology, Language and Computer. College has its own Generator set of 15 kw.

Our Inspiration
Akal College of Education for Women, Fatehgarh Chhanna, Sangrur marks the fulfillment of the long- cherished desire of Late Honorable Sardar Gurbaksh Singh Sibia. The process of its consummation was faithfully pursued by his worthy son Sardar Teghvir Singh Sibia, the present President of the Governing body and his associates such as Principal Surjit Singh Gandhi (Retd.) Secretary, S. Narendra Singh Mann Joint Secretary, Principal Sivraj Kaur Director, Dr. Harjit Kaur, S. Pirthipal Singh, S. Gurbir Singh & other members of the Governing Body.
Ultimately having gone through the rough and tumble of bureaucratic labyrinths, the Governing Body succeeded in getting affiliation of the Punjabi University, Patiala for the Institutions. In our Protracted struggle to achieve our objective, no less important part was played by Sh. M.P. Singh IAS Secretary, Higher Education, Punjab , Sh. Phulwant Singh Sidhu, IAS (Retd.), S. Satinderpal Singh, Deputy Director, Finance (Retd.) & Sh. Pritpal Singh. Their input was of great help to the Governing Body to steer clear through different channels..
